Data Scientist - Permanent
Location: Central London

The client
A leading media communications specialist organisation is looking to grow their data science team for an exciting upcoming project.
You
You'll be a passionate and data-driven Data Scientist with a history working in research, data or tech companies.
In this role you will be working alongside the rest of the Insight Analytics team to champion/implement self-service and data-driven decisioning.
Your responsibilities
- Develop, test and maintain mathematical models and predictive models for use by internal stakeholders and data analytic teams.
- Develop programs that automate data collection, assimilation, aggregation and visualization of data.
- Driving forward the analytics offering of the agency. Understanding areas where programming can be used to deliver marketing solutions for agency & client challenges.
- Coordinates with Data Engineers to build data environments providing data identified by Data Analysts, Data Integrators, Knowledge Managers, and Intel Analysts.
- Develops methodology and processes for prioritization and scheduling of projects.
Your experience
- Proficient with one or more programming languages (Python, R, Java, C++, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience applying data science methods to real-world data problems
- Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis with advanced pattern recognition and predictive modelling skills
- Good understanding of campaign effectiveness / creative testing methodologies
- Experience in research methods, with a focus on quantitative research, understanding key steps in the research process including: Sample weighting, Survey data structure, statistical significance analysis.
- Experience using GCP, Shiny, Linux a plus
- Degree in Economics, Maths, Stats or other numerical subject (2:1 or above)
