Job description

Data Science/Database Modeling & Development

  • Ensure quality database design including documentation, testing and implementation of key metrics in Microsoft Azure sourced from the SQL Server database
  • Partner with IS and business intelligence consulting teams to develop, troubleshoot, and structure data assets that are critical to the calculation of KPIs in systems such as PowerBI or Tableau
  • Query, wrangle and transform large amounts of structured/unstructured data into a digestible format from multiple data sources to be used for graphics & visualization

Data Visualization, BI & Front-End Reporting

  • Leverage technical understanding and business acumen to translate high-level business requirements into technical and functional specifications to develop reporting & analytics for Senior Sales Management, Finance, Marketing, and other teams within and outside of Sales Operations
  • Utilize Microsoft Power BI to create/deliver actionable dashboards, management reports, ad hoc analysis relating to salesforce, hospital, surgeon, and field usage, etc.
  • Partner with internal business partners to support their development of Power BI reports. Govern data appropriately, provide guidance on data usage and be the primary source of validation for teams outside of Sales Operations
  • Create/deliver executive sales dashboards for monthly review by Senior Sales Management.
  • Calculate monthly field sales performance and facilitate Senior Sales Management recognition tools.
  • Partner with Sales Analytics analysts to reduce manual reporting through the use of advanced analytical tools such as 3Microsoft Power BI
  • Audit current processes; identify and implement methods to improve data accuracy and ease of report use. Recommend and implement accuracy, efficiency, and productivity enhancements. Audit existing systems, determine and communicate gaps and opportunities to leadership.
  • Utilize data to identify trends and make recommendations around those trends.
  • Execute on a defined road map of reports/visuals to be built into Power BI. Support ad hoc requests through Power BI when applicable.

PowerBI Training & Administration

  • Partner with IS to ensure system and data accuracy and accommodate user access requests.
  • Build & administer row-level security access in PowerBI Desktop & maintain proper security groups in the appropriate workspaces
  • Conduct live recorded field PowerBI training for the salesforce, Customer Service, and BOM teams
  • Own and conduct PowerBI training for the “Sales Ops Science” series for new hires

  • Apply a strong understanding of clinical procedures to enhance product development.
  • Contribute to and execute customer-facing activities like voice of customer and customer-centric design in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates financial acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a project from beginning to end.

General Responsibilities:

  • Work cooperatively with Sales Ops, Sales, Marketing, IT, and Project Management to ensure project success, both leading and influencing other leaders on the team.
  • Identify and lead the creation of or improvements to procedures, policies, processes, systems, and technology required.
  • Execute and lead segments of complex product development to advance projects through the design /development/launch process.
  • Contribute to complex product development through release and lead one technical area of expertise.

What you need

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Related analytics or data science experience preferred
