Job Description Robert Half are currently searching for a Data Engineer and paying a salary up to £55,000 plus benefits.
We are partnered with a Global business who ae currently going through some real exciting times within the technology division. There is real focus on building out the Data Engineering team and this opportunity has now become available.
The company has offices in Huddersfield and operate a relaxed hybrid working model.
The role of the Data Engineer will be to work closely with the Data Warehouse Manager on the following areas:
Supporting the Data Warehousing platform, both on build and maintenance
Developing data structures (views/Interfaces) based on understanding business requirements
Supporting users and process to ensure that they implementing the right data for their solution
Improving performance and Maximising Cost Optimisation
Gather and translate business requirements, convert into technical specification and implement solution design
Support in defining, collecting, and measuring success or failure of product and feature developments through relevant metrics and KPIs
Liaise and manage stakeholders, namely suppliers, external consultants, management, and directors and potentially customers and primarily when covering the manager
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience of SQL/database design and data modelling
Must have experience working with Microsoft Azure
Experience in coding in Python and PowerShell
Experience in Designing and building reliable, and high-performance data-driven solutions
Experienced in the design and implementation of Azure Synapse would be ideal
Experience of BI tooling
Experience of dimensional modelling
