We are seeking a passionate Data Scientist for our Melbourne office. This is a unique opportunity to join our Data & Analytics team. As a Data Scientist you will be working with various customers to solve complex business problems.

Working at NTT

Working within a small team with sizeable future goals, you will:

• Gain a solid understanding of production machine learning models and data pipelines.
• Add new features to a model or optimising / performance tuning of models.
• Dealing with large datasets to infer knowledge and patterns.
• Assist a senior data scientist to deliver data projects in timely and efficient manner.
• Extract, manipulate and process data from multiple sources and assemble datasets
• Gain a solid understanding of our models and data assets to play a key role in statistical and ML model build and improvements using a range of modelling techniques
• Build data pipelines, troubleshoot data, and script issues and proactively analyse the model building processes to identify and recommend improvements
• Perform thorough testing and validation of models to confirm accuracy of data transformations used and robustness of predictive models
• Document the projects and processes and assist with report preparation
• Have Coffees and laughs.

What will make you a good fit for the role?

• You need skills (1 to 5 years) in data science and are already a strong practitioner with; Python, R, and other tools to get your job done.
• Intermediate SQL skills and an ability to extract, clean and manipulate data.
• At least a bachelor’s degree, Masters or PhD in a related numerical discipline – such as Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Statistics, Actuarial Studies.
• Strong attention to detail
• Team-player with excellent communication skills open to new challenges
