A forward-thinking Data-driven Specialist with a mission to make data simple, native and open to businesses, seeks a creative Data Analyst/Planner who can command a room and bring data to life using narratives. The ideal candidate will be comfortable presenting in front of internal or client audiences & able to confidently about brands, and marketing. You have a strong POV on how data is used to enhance creativity and fuel businesses now. You will be central to supporting the wider strategy teams in South Africa in the day-to-day provision of data and analysis from our Intelligence Platform, a curated data stack of tools and resources. You enjoy mining data of all kinds to find compelling stories and narratives which will transform data into creative opportunity and business growth. (Whilst at ease with reading data, we don’t expect you to be a data scientist, as many resources are software as a service).

Proficient/Confident user of Microsoft Office suite of tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Clarity of expression in writing.
Ability to synthesize written or numerical data at speed and with accuracy.
Critical thinking – a constructive, questioning attitude and outlook.
Organised and methodical.
Tableau or similar visualisation skills.
Prior knowledge or use of SaaS platforms such as YouGov Profiles and Brand Index, Brandwatch (or similar social listening software), Global Web Index panel data, Trends libraries, Euromonitor and other market data, Influencer libraries, Similarweb or SEMRush web analytics platforms.
Any coding or Data Analysis skills (or practical interest in non-core areas of study including Economics, Maths/Stats, Data Science for example).
Any storytelling, ethnographic or fieldwork knowledge and client-facing experience.
Evidence of strategic thinking, or outcomes-based projects worked on within previous roles (likely as part of a larger team).
