RoadSafetyBC is the lead provincial agency for road safety and is responsible for setting strategic direction and establishing a provincial approach to road safety throughout British Columbia. RoadSafetyBC regulates drivers and operates a number of programs to help regulate the safe and responsible operation of motor vehicles in B.C.

The Program Analyst supports tracking and provides insights into road safety programs from conceptual stages through implementation to evaluation in a variety of functions, including portfolio reporting, data collection/analysis, research and reporting. The Analyst responds to information needs by developing Business Intelligence tools that support qualitative and quantitative analysis, and communicating conclusions and recommendations through dashboards, briefings, presentations, and various data and information reports.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, or a Social Science field; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in data analysis and conducting qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with Business Intelligence tools and creating Dashboard and visualizations for business end users.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience at leveraging structured and unstructured data sources to conduct quantitative analysis.

Preference may be given to candidates with any of the following:

  • Master’s Degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, or a Social Science field.
  • Minimum of 3 years or more experience in data analysis and conducting qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Experience using Power BI.
  • Experience using domain-specific language used in programming and designed for managing data such as but not limited to SQL, R and / or Python.
