About the Team:
The Data Analytics/Business Intelligence team plays a critical role in conducting close-loop data-driven business iterations. The team collaborates closely with Marketplace product managers, developers, and internal stakeholders to understand their requirements, and deliver actionable insights to shape product strategy. You will be fully immersed with data focusing on promotions, listing, seller metrics and other key Marketplace domains.
Job Description:
  • Develop business domain expertise within the Marketplace team.
  • Lead a team to conduct in-depth close-loop data analysis based on user behaviour data and drive product iterations.
  • Work with large datasets to problem-solve, identify key business issues or opportunities, construct hypothesis, and investigate the “why” behind trends and observations.
  • Drive visibility into product performance by defining and monitoring key business metrics.
  • Design, build and maintain useful dashboards and reports to enable data-self serve for product managers.
  • Communicate and present insights to key stakeholders and senior management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information System, Business Analytics, Statistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, Economics/Applied Economics or in another quantitative and engineering field.
  • At least 4 years of strong relevant hands-on experience in analytical roles.
  • Knowledge in Python and SQL is a must.
  • Knowledge in operation research, data warehousing, ETL/ELT process and big data ecosystem (Hadoop, Spark, Hive) are preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to present complex data and information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, including executives and technical/non-technical leaders.
  • Thrives in a dynamic work environment, able to prioritise tasks by understanding short term and long term business goals.
  • Good interpersonal skills and comfortable to engage stakeholders from different levels.
