Senior Data Scientist (m/f/d) for Vantage Towers

As a Senior Data Scientist (m/f/d) you are part of a professional and highly motivated team and create targeted data analyses based on specific problems, present the results in an understandable form and create practicable solution and improvement proposals. You develop strategies, processes and data models to continuously improve data quality in the company. You support the solution design of our IT solutions in the application of these data models as well as in the use of machine learning and predictive technologies. Your challenges:

• You collect large amounts of structured and unstructured data based on specific tasks and validate and analyze them using state-of-the-art data science methods.
• You present your results in a generally understandable way, create targeted solution proposals, prepare management decisions and drive their implementation forward.
• You develop strategies and processes to continuously monitor and improve the quality, completeness and reliability of data sets.
• You create and implement data models and data architectures
• You advise the IT team and business functions on the use of machine learning and predictive analytics algorithms in our IT solutions with the aim of increasing efficiency, optimising the customer experience and increasing revenue.

Your qualification:

• A degree in (business) computer science, mathematics, statistics or comparable
• At least 5-7 years of professional experience in the field of data science / data analytics with excellent knowledge of databases, data models & architectures, ETL processes, data warehouse and big data
• Programming experience in e.g. Python, JavaScript, Java as well as in-depth knowledge of distributed data/computing tools such as Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, MySQL etc.
• Experience in the application of advanced machine learning methods (clustering, decision tree learning, neural networks, etc.) and their advantages/disadvantages in practical application
• Very good command of written and spoken English (C1 according to CEFR)

You have the opportunity to either work full-time or part-time with at least 30 hours per week.
