We are seeking a highly motivated individual for a Data Science Production Support - Data Engineer role to join our Data Science Team. You will design, implement and maintain data pipelines across various data sources to ensure Data Science product quality to live up to the business SLA. As part of the scrum team, you will work with both the Data Science and Data Engineering, and other data source teams to understand the data flow and pain points and build processes and pipelines to address them.


What You'll Be Doing



  • Understand business requirements and provide suitable design.
  • Design, implement, and maintain production-level data pipeline across various data sources.
  • Ability to quickly prototype a solution to prove out the technical feasibility and business value.
  • Scale up prototypes (ETL/ML model/services) from end-to-end using relevant technologies.
  • Test and monitor to ensure product quality to live up to the business SLA.
  • Diagnose, debug, and fix existing workflows and applications.
  • Research and learn new tools and frameworks.
  • Technical documentation.


What We're Looking For



  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of working experience and, more than 2 years in relevant field.
  • 2-5 years of experience working with Big Data (Hadoop, Cloudera (CDH), Spark Hive, Impala, HBase, etc.)
  • Strong programming experience in any of the following language Python/Java.
  • Must have a strong command of SQL.
  • Must have good working knowledge of Unix file system and shell scripting.
  • Greater than 2 years working experience with Cloudera Distributed Hadoop (CDH)
  • Hands-on experience working with popular big data frameworks listed below, like Hadoop/Spark/Hive/Impala/HBase and others.
  • Experience operating under an agile work environment.


Even Better if You Have



  • Experience with production-level machine learning applications (training/inferencing/deployment).
  • Basic understanding of machine learning techniques and models.
  • Experience in designing and implementing scalable RESTful APIs.

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:


$85,000 - $135,000


Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
