Job Purpose: Reports to the Director of Data Science in the Analytics Org as data engineering leader on the Data Platform team. Works closely with engineers and business stakeholders to lead the design and development of technical solutions.
Areas of impact include:
- Data architecture and modeling
- Data engineering pipeline
- Systems administration
- Software architecture and development
- Cloud infrastructure
Additional activities include:
- Participating in technical discussions
- Conducting code reviews
- Producing solution documentation
- Gathering stakeholder requirements
- Defining and implementing best practices
- Understanding business objectives, processes, and products
- Delivering technical solutions for those objectives
What You Will Do:
- Leading hands-on development of data engineering solutions
- Data architectural design
- System administration of data infrastructure
- Data pipeline automation and optimization
- Translating Business objectives and Product vision into technical solutions
- Collaboration and communication with internal/external stakeholders
Requirements
- Must have 5+ years experience in:
- Data architecture and data modeling
- ETL Pipelines and data migration
- SQL (MySQL Server) scripting
- Cloud infrastructure
- Software development (Python)
- Systems development and administration
- Gathering and defining requirements
- Collaborating with internal/external stakeholders
- Bonus points for experience in or familiarity with:
- Snowflake data lakes and warehousing
- Microservice design patterns
- DevOps
- Data transformation (DBT pipelines)
