Job description

How will I help?

Perform and lead data analysis tasks for the Business & Wealth Division Transformation Office, driving the achievement of Westpac’s strategy. This involves working with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate, validate, and manage data requirements for changes to systems, business processes, policies, and information.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform gap analysis and provide recommendations to the business for operational and data workflows.
  • Understand and analyse your Business portfolio for everything data and deliver solutions to the highest quality.
  • Design and develop end-to-end ETL process for large data sets, ensuring integration with PowerBI and other applications.
  • Design and develop user-friendly and intuitive PowerBI dashboards for value-add insights and act as trusted advisor to the business.
  • Provide technical expertise to the technology team on data workflows
  • Manage requirements through the delivery lifecycle to meet business needs
  • Provide recommendations for process redesign and improvements and business solutions , enabling changes to processes, policy and/or information

What do I need?

  • Effective problem-solving in agile environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Analyzes situations and numerical tasks thoroughly.
  • Manages data analysis activities in complex projects independently.
  • Best practice project risk management and compliance.
  • Proven stakeholder management and strategic direction.
  • Extensive experience in Banking & Finance, analytical roles, and Business Intelligence.
  • Advanced SAS/SQL, Excel skills, and familiarity with Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence, MS Teams); knowledge of Westpac Group Data Warehouses is desirable.
