Job Title: Data Scientist, Advanced Analytics

Location: Remote with Eastern time zone hours

Full-time, exempt

Job Summary:

The Advanced Analytics team at PatientPoint works on business problems across the enterprise, such as customer attrition, operations, marketing, revenue, and optimization.

As a Data Scientist, you will work on these problems by gathering data, summarizing, analyzing, and visualizing to help end-users make meaningful business decisions. In addition, you will execute statistical analysis of large datasets using Python, SQL and R.

What You Will Do
  • The Data Scientist performs statistical analysis, consulting, interpretation and selects methodologies to be used in advanced analytics. This is a critical role serving internal and external customers by applying analytical thinking and delivering actionable insights.
    • Provides leadership in data science and analytics in the development of current or future products, technologies or services, for internal business questions and external facing case study analysis.
  • This person will be creating software tools, programs and scripts to help others leverage their work, extract data and find actionable insights daily on an ongoing routine basis.
    • Develops and codes software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources.
  • This person will be designing and executing statistical analysis to answer key business questions, address objectives and shape business policy. In other analysis, this person will create statistical models to be used on an ongoing basis for scoring new target leads, anomaly detection and expected values obtained via time series forecasting.
    • Applies artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to solve complex questions or fuel new business opportunities


What We Need:
  • Bachelor's required, Masters preferred. Applied Statistics, Computer Science, business analytics or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years, 6+ years preferred. Only direct and hands-on work-related experience with creating and using analytics to change business policy apply to this requirement. Candidates will be asked to provide examples from their experience with using analytics to create actionable insights.
  • Strong statistical modeling skills. The candidate will have advanced knowledge of machine learning and predictive modeling techniques. Experience with and know when to apply regression analysis, A/B testing, power analysis, anomaly detection, model validation and selection, building of ensemble models, network analysis, simulation, conducting inferential analysis with spatial and time series data, nearest neighbor, deep learning methods, etc.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated ability through experience with both the R programming language and Python programming language required and at scale with large data sets. Candidates will be asked to provide several examples of each during the interview process or complete a case study analysis to validate these skills.
  • Working knowledge of the SQL programming language including experience creating complex SQL queries, data views and functions.
  • In addition to the specific technology mentioned above, this role is expected to discover, learn, develop, and implement solutions in new or emerging statistical methodologies and leverage new technologies as necessary.

Desired Qualifications
  • Professional experience in healthcare and digital advertising industries
  • Experience with Snowflake, AWS SageMaker
  • Experience with Salesforce, including Einstein Analytics
  • Experience with geospatial analysis
