Position Summary:

This Position will report to and work with the CJC Senior Operations Manager. This role will develop and Implement a BIM workflow system. Oversee BIM related technology and its adoption across platforms. This position is located at the Community Justice Campus; Indianapolis, Indiana, and all properties within Marion County. Some of the main areas of responsibility will include maintaining CAD Drawings, Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical. This will include at times editing the CAD files. This position will maintain the data, its storage, and connection between the BIM and CMMS systems.


Essential Duties:

This position is accountable for fulfilling the following duties in:

  • Make edits to the CAD drawings Architectural Electrical, Mechanical Maintain the CAD Files
  • Lead all IT needs the site may need across multiple platforms.
  • Audit and review 3D models.
  • Generate and/or manage BIM models
  • Set standards, create systems, and drive new processes.
  • Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications.
  • Interpret 2D drawings and plans.
  • Interpret technical documents and relay relevant information through drawings and detailed instructions to shops.
  • Manage projects with assistance from other departments.
  • Develop BIM related processes.
  • Investigate and learn new software and technology to improve design deliverables and operations.
  • Administrator for the CMMS Software and possibly others.
  • Complete all other duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • College degree in Architecture, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent years’ experience.
  • Experience working with AutoCAD; including Revit.
  • Ability to acquire addition education and training as needed.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in multiple IT tools and integration of IT tools into business processes
  • CMMS knowledge.

Work Environment

  • This position requires work in an indoor building setting.

  • This position requires the use and knowledge of CMMS software

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
