The Data Analyst will work in the Enterprise Data Management Department and will perform activities required to provide effective control of the data which is deemed critical to the bank.

Description
- Data Lineage
- Work with the upstream data providers - explain data mapping requirements and gather technical documentation needed to document data lineage Decipher technical documentation, Data Flow diagrams, SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, and SSIS packages in order to document Data Lineage manually Work with business users to get process details and create Level 2 Process Flow diagrams
- Data Quality Profiling
- Lead data quality workshops to recommend and capture business rules for the identified CDEs
- Data Quality Monitoring
- Run DQ checks using DMO application built in-house and share results with business Work with DMO IT to create new Data Quality Rules by providing technical details / SQL Queries etc. that would help create logic for capturing data quality issues
- Data Quality Issue Remediation (once data quality issues are discovered)
- Perform root cause analysis; determine where the issue is and then raise tickets as needed; modify DQ rules logic if required
- Follow up with business / IT as needed to get the issues fixed
Profile
- 7+ years of relevant work experience
- Prior working experience in Finance
- Prior working experience in Financial Industry / Data Governance / Data Management Office Prior exposure to projects related with delivering Level 2 process flows, Data Quality Rules, and Manual/Automated Source to Target data mapping
- Intermediate to Advanced SQL skills
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
- Intermediate to Advanced Visio skills
- Intermediate PowerPoint (PPT) skills
- Experience with a Data Governance Tool will be a plus
