Overview
Provides measurement support, validation, data management, and analysis. Works with the senior Analysts and other customers to meet reporting and analytic needs of the organization.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
1. Supports the goals of the organization through reporting, analysis, and data visualization
2. Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills by working with technical and non-technical customers to translate business needs into report specifications
3. Ensures that standard business definitions are applied appropriately in all forms of reporting
4. Creates data visualization, such as charts and graphs, in Excel and other business intelligence tools (e.g. SAS-VA, Web Intelligence, etc.)
5. Manages own work and adheres to project timelines under the guidance of senior staff
6. Builds queries in available BI tools against the EPIC clarity environment
7. Completes Value Institute Yellow Belt training within one year of hire and participates in improvement projects both inside and outside the department.
8. Understands basic descriptive statistics and can apply them in the context of healthcare operations
9. Extracts, manipulates and validates data from various sources
10. Explains and orients reports and analyses to colleagues, customers and partners.
11. Adheres to data standards and data sharing policies and procedures
12. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
ü Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
ü Three years of experience working as an analyst or one year with relevant advanced degree
ü Proficient in MS Excel and basic knowledge of BI tools
ü Basic understanding of relational database concepts
