- MS in CS Machine learning, Statistics, Economics, Operational research, Mathematics or in a highly quantitative field
- 6+ years of hands-on industry experience in predictive modeling and large data analysis
- 3+ years of experience in Python
- Working proficiency in SQL

Amazon Web Services’ Marketing Science team is looking for a senior data scientist with strong technical skills in machine learning to drive methodology improvements and tool inventions for marketing planning, goal tracking, targeting and segmentation, while developing our long term roadmap.
This role requires an individual with excellent quantitative modeling skills and the ability to apply statistical/machine learning, econometric, and coding skills.
The candidate should have excellent communication skills to work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into methodology and data-driven findings into actionable insights. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Location: Preference for this role to be in Seattle, WA, but open to additional locations near any Amazon/AWS U.S. Corp office only. Relocation offered from within the US only to these locations.
Responsibilities:- Develop and expand ML multi-touch attribution models
- Lead development and implementation of new algorithms, package into re-usable libraries
- Coach other on the team with a systematical peer review and & model proposal evaluation
- Design, development and evaluation of highly innovative models to help the AWS marketing organization with business decision making and address quantitative problems
- Analyze and understand large amounts of Amazon’s complex and discrete datasets about AWS customers in order to understand our customer behavior and help guide complex business decisions.
- Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, and model development, validation and implementation
- Work closely with other marketing teams to drive model/solution development and their implementation
- Work closely with team of BI engineers to improve data quality and operationalize new solutions
- Communicate and influence senior management and implement novel and statistical approaches

The base pay range for this position in Colorado is $120,900 - 160,000/ yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
