Perpay is located in Center City, Philadelphia in a new, open floor plan, river-front office. A coffee bar sits at the heart of the office with espresso, drip coffee, cold brew and tea options. The rest of the office has comfortable, open seating including: sitting desks, standing desks, couches, lounge chairs, and kitchen booths & tables. We are searching for a Junior Analyst to join the Strategic Analytics team who will play a key role in ensuring that our organization has access to the insights necessary to build a great product and service for our customers. This person will collaborate heavily with Data Science and Data Engineering to support multiple business units within Perpay. We are looking for someone to deliver key insights to drive business optimization. This opportunity, reporting directly to the Manager of Strategic Analytics, is both unique and pivotal, as it provides the chance to contribute to a rapidly growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Rapidly build a deep understanding of Perpay’s business operations and data holdings
• Conduct focused and in-depth research of assigned business problems, creating a thorough and nuanced understanding of the issues at hand and their wider implications
• Deliver high-quality insights and recommendations to strategic analytics leadership and other stakeholders through reports and presentations
• Create efficient and correct code that can be adapted for a production environment
• Build business intelligence reporting to support evidence-based decision making throughout the organization
• Develop and manage relationships with business stakeholders, negotiating priorities and collaborating to strengthen the business

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative/technical field (Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Engineering)
• Internship, research, or course experience analyzing real-world data with programming languages such as SQL,Python, R
• Strong business acumen, with the ability to translate business problems into technical logic
• Solid written and oral communication skills, particularly around presenting clear and actionable recommendations with decision-makers without neglecting nuance and uncertainty
• Ability to translate complex analytical projects into concrete business recommendations

Bonus:

• 2+ years in a hands-on data role
• Expertise using SQL for acquiring and transforming data
• Experience with data visualization tools e.g. Domo, Power BI, Tableau
• Experience with object-oriented programming languages (Python preferred)
• Experience with code reviews and version control (Git, Github)
