Data Engineer III (REMOTE)

Key Responsibilities
- Design, create, maintain, and optimize the infrastructure required for ETL (extraction, transformation, and loading) of data from assorted data sources into a data warehouse.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams gathering business requirements, defining scope, creating project timelines, and owning project coordination through to resolution.
- Perform in-depth, thorough, and accurate reporting or ad hoc analysis as needed.
- Use data modeling techniques to analyze and define data flow requirements, creating documentation to support solutions.
- Design and create complex SQL queries, functions, views, and stored procedures following department coding standards.
- Mentor and coach other engineers by participating in design and code reviews and share best practices.
- Troubleshoot, support, and maintain the data warehouse and associated tools used by the team.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role in which you set up data pipelines.
- 3+ years of experience using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or similar data transformation tool.
- Strong problem-solving capacity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, and Data Warehousing concepts and best practices.
- 5+ years of MS SQL (T-SQL) Database development.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new tools and concepts.
- Experience with data warehouse design/development - ETLs, data modeling, advanced data management techniques.
- Desire and ability to work closely with co-workers, brainstorming solutions to complicated problems.
- 3+ years of using Python in a Data Engineering environment.
- Experience with data architecture of complex data pipeline environment a plus
