Position Summary
Reprise is looking for a machine learning engineer to join the ranks of our AI craft, as part of the global team in Belgium (Antwerp/Brussels).
Reprise is headquartered in New York with over 60 offices around the world and works with brands like Johnson & Johnson, Coca-Cola, Amazon, American Express, LEGO & more.
As a machine learning engineer, you are a seasoned software engineer with experience in machine learning. Your focus will be on designing, implementing and productionizing state-of-the-art optimization and planning algorithms, such as our real-time budget allocation framework for digital marketing campaigns.
You have experience with multi-armed bandits, but you will combine those with modern machine learning techniques (“contextual bandits”) and don’t shy away from a bit of NLP or Computer Vision if that feeds into your model. You have a notion of Deep Reinforcement Learning or work yourself into it.
You are an experienced machine learning practitioner and Python programmer and have put models into production environments before.
The AI craft is part of a new strategic digital transformation effort within Reprise, and acts as a small, agile corporate start-up to drive innovation within Reprise globally. You therefore like working in an agile and small but growing team and are not afraid of taking on responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, test and roll-out state-of-the-art AI products. Your go-to language is Python, and your platform-as-a-service environment is GCP.
  • Work with our internal product teams to integrate the result into our existing product stack.
  • Be or become our go-to person when it comes to applying state of the art machine learning to the field of optimization and planning. Think about budget-allocation, campaign optimization, optimizing ad copy for revenue…
  • Help define and defend the roadmap for all optimization & planning related tooling for digital advertising and e-commerce.
  • Assist in setting up and getting funding for research projects, such as a Deep RL optimization engine.

You join the global team as part of the newly founded AI craft and report to our Head of Data Science. As a corporate start-up, the AI craft provides you with exciting growth opportunities and an agile, fast-paced environment, while being embedded in a large corporation.
By working closely together with the regional data leads, you will meet, and learn from, the most talented people in the marketing agency world. Together with them, you will be responsible for scoping out and defining the future of data at Reprise Digital, world-wide.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience designing and productionizing machine learning models and AI applications.
  • Fluent in Python and a strong interest in general software engineering principles.
  • You have worked with common python frameworks (Numpy, Pandas…), and experience with deep learning frameworks like Tensorflow or PyTorch is a plus.
  • You have a strong notion of multi-armed bandits, reinforcement learning algorithms or similar experience.
  • You have a good mathematical foundation and know your way around Bayesian statistics. Knowledge of econometrics models is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with GCP (especially Google’s PaaS components such as AppEngine and FireStore) is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Experience in a marketing agency (or any of: SEO, paid search, paid social, e-commerce) is a big plus, but not a requirement.
