The main tasks for Senior Data Engineer with Azure will be:

• Creating software that enables our clients and business partners to make efficient decisions with ease
• Designing and implementing robust Data Warehouse solutions on compute engines such as SSIS, ADF, and business intelligence reports (Power BI, Qlik)
• Resolving complex business issues at a large scale
• Taking part in cross-functional initiatives and working across various domains
• Collaborating with data engineers, product/project managers, and partners from all over the world

The Candidate should have:

• At least 6 years of commercial experience in a similar role
• Extensive experience in T-SQL and data extraction from legacy systems
• Experience in:
  • One of the following: Power BI, Azure Data Factory, SSIS
  • Converting business problems/challenges to technical solutions considering security, performance, scalability, etc.
  • Enterprise-class solution implementations
• Deep understanding and experience with design techniques of relational databases, ETL, Data Marts, Data Warehouses (e.g. dimensions modeling)
• Familiarity with:
  • Data management concepts
  • The importance of governance and security rules when handling data
• Flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style
• Team-oriented, detail-oriented, efficient, and solution-oriented attitude
• Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and in a team
• Great English skills (written and spoken)

It would be a plus if the Candidate had:

• Experience in:
  • Working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
  • BI tools such as:
    • SAP BO
    • Qlikview
    • QlikSense
    • Tableau
  • Familiarity with:
    • BI/ETL tools on Azure/GCP/AWS cloud
    • Other RDBMS:
      • Oracle
      • DB2
      • Teradata
    • Professional background with:
      • Data lakes
      • Real-time data processing and data warehousing aggregation
      • Managing ETL in PL/SQL, Informatica PowerCenter, Ab Initio, Talend, Alteryx, IBM Data Stage, Dataiku, Oracle Data Integrator, or other
    • Understanding and knowledge of database and ETL performance tuning concepts
