Summary:
The Data Analyst will review, analyze, evaluate, design, implement and maintain assigned database[s] and large data sets such as medical claims, Military administrative data and behavioral and social health data systems.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Will identify data sources, assist with data collection, construct data decomposition diagrams, provide data flow diagrams, maintain documentation, and develop effective business processes for effective and valid data analyses.
- Will develop Public Health study deliverables, surveillance, monitoring, field studies and program evaluations, research, map, and document data housed in current relational databases and assist in developing the architecture for reporting objects, and design, develop, test, and create accurate data analysis reports.
- Develop and implement data quality assurance processes related to Army Public Health data and advise multidisciplinary teams regarding the design of analytic project plans that minimize epidemiological data validity/accuracy concerns and increase quality control, and develop and prepare Public Health technical reports, business process documentation, oral reports, charts, tables and/or professional quality presentations, as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
- College degree in public health or related field.
- One or more years of experience managing and linking large administrative datasets, preferably of medical data and/or military data.
- Experience with data analysis or data management programs, preferably SAS.
- Experience acquiring data and performing quality assurance checks on data.
- Experience preparing and reviewing data analytic plans, reports, charts, tables, and presentations.
The salary range for this position is $96,881.25 to $100,618.75 per year.
