We have a great opportunity for a Data Engineer to work for one of the biggest banking organisations in Australia where you will operate predominantly in an Agile environment and such will be required to support the technology capabilities to effectively deliver value to customers.

What you'll be doing:
Analyse business requirements and articulate complex technical requirements through collaboration with business users, technology groups and suppliers

Lead and develop detailed data and system functional/non-functional specifications that will drive the desired business outcomes to ensure effective delivery of system specifications and/or Business requirements

Convert requirements into architectures and solution designs that make up the blueprint for a solution for projects that do not require involvement from a solution architect

Ensure alignment and provide traceability of lower level design to technical solution architecture

Apply expert knowledge of systems to inform Architecture and Solution Design

Lead the analysis of user stories and relevant documents to determine testing requirements and automation potential to deliver logical & efficient automation solutions

What do I need?

Strong experience with software development and applications design

Solid experience with SQL and SSIS

Experience in Bigdata, Spark, hive, hbase

Experience in Data warehouse, Informatica, SQL, Teradata

Experience in Python

Experience providing quality review of code and leading quality control initiatives

Analysis, problem solving, troubleshooting and consultative skills
