VICE PRES INFORMATION TECHNLGY (UA-VPIT-IUBLA)

Specific Department Responsibilities:
Working both independently and as a member of the enterprise CRM Data Integrity Service Center, participate in all aspects of data audit, reconciliation, analysis, and entry/processing related to the vended applications included in the Indiana University Salesforce CRM platform. The CRM Associate Data Specialist position will review university source integrated data to identify potential duplicate records, conduct research on external organizations, and reconcile duplicate records through merging of both primary entity and ancillary relationship data.
Completes research and analysis of external organization business structures to determine and establish record hierarchies based on established university standards.
Responds to user requests to establish new organization records following all established process guidelines and parameters. Use of this data makes possible the collaborations, partnerships, and communications to all external organizations that engage with Indiana University to include corporations, foundations, not-for-profits, government agencies, and other institutions of higher education.
Responds to user requests for related analytic reports based on submitted criteria for the purpose of data driven decisions that impact and guide university business practices.
Assists with the development and data verification of executive summary reports that include select aggregated data related to external organizations and points of contact.
Provides assistance to Service Center Lead with daily oversight of hourly employees and serves as knowledge resource in guiding data management decisions of Center resources.
Performs data management tasks, including data modeling, conversion, de-duplication, migration, and identification and repair of data quality issues.
Designs, develops, and implements custom data systems and reconciliation tools, processes, rules, solutions etc. to validate data, match/merge, and upload batch lists.
Creates and tunes stored procedures and queries for data management and extraction.
Assists in designing and building out technical software mechanisms to accommodate multiple integrations accurately based on complex rules and custom solutions.
Adheres to established documentation standards and maintains security by ensuring that security standards and protocols are recognized and followed.
Troubleshoots, analyzes problems, and finds resolutions for data related issues; performs scripting and modifications of application and products for corrective action.
Stays up-to-date with data engineering best practices and approaches; stays abreast of latest security threats and risks to proactively address potential exposures.
Degree in computer science, information science, business systems or a related field.
Some data management, engineering, or related experience.
Experience in the areas of customer support, application support, or documentation.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
