Responsibilities

Description of the Business Line or Department

The role is within the Client Lifecycle Management (“CLM”) IT Feature team who support business applications covering Marketing, Client Onboarding, Client Relationship Management, AML, KYC, Document Management & Compliance.

The CLM team liaise with stakeholders across the business to prioritise future enhancements using an Agile development framework for the applications within their scope.

The team are also collectively responsible for third line Application support, including data analysis, reporting, investigation of issues, liaison with internal developers/software suppliers on fixes, and involvement in the testing and promotion of IT changes.

Summary of the key purposes of the role

  • Complex analysis of and in-depth understanding of functional business processes and the underlying data that enable the Bank’s business to be executed successfully.
  • Understanding the database design (logical/physical) of in-scope applications that support the business processes.
  • Authoring SQL to effectively query and navigate across multiple data domains to produce data analysis findings.
  • Collaborate with team members and other internal stakeholders to identify data insights and to understand the root cause of data issues.
  • This position also participates marketing initiatives, supporting the market strategy of the firm through data analysis and reporting.

Summary of responsibilities

1. Proactively manage assigned third line support tickets and incidents.

2. Data analysis.

3. Author data queries & reporting.

4. Liaise with stakeholders across the Bank and external software vendors.

5. Understand the technical architecture of the relevant IT systems.

6. Assist with application change/upgrade projects.

7. Identify where improvements and efficiencies can be introduced.

  • Awareness of overall Finance IT Industry
  • Understanding of the various stages of the Agile project management framework (SCRUM, Kanban, etc)
  • Understanding of the key elements needed to provide a high-quality application support service
  • Understanding of industry standard ITIL processes, including Incident and Change/ Release Management Processes
