We have several fantastic new roles including 3 new data engineers to join a global financial. This is your chance to work for one of the most ambitious companies in this sector who has made somewhere in the order of 15-20 acquisitions over the last year! They are growing at a phenomenal pace and need several new people to join their new and growing IT team!
Successful candidates are likely to have 1-2 years+ experience for junior roles and 2 years + for the mid level roles in a data engineering or related field with strong experience of building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and storage solutions.
Key skills include SQL Server (T-SQL, Stored procedures) for the Junior roles and mid level applicants should have some Azure experience in some data services. Key skills include things like: data services (Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL), proficiency in a programming language such as Scala or Python, and knowledge of software engineering principles and best practices. Code version and source control should include GitHub/Azure DevOp (CI/CD) and experience of working in an Agile team. You can expect to develop skills in areas you have not had!
Using the latest technologies and skills your role will involve redeveloping and developing from scratch new applications that were previously developed out of house (Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL).
