Position: Data Engineer

Location: Stuttgart

Role Description: As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing their data infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and enabling seamless data flow across various systems. Your expertise in MySQL, ETL processes, and Python programming will be instrumental in unlocking valuable insights from our vast datasets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support business needs.
• Optimize data models and database performance in MySQL for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions accordingly.
• Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing robust validation and monitoring mechanisms.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data processes, standards, and best practices.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve data engineering practices.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a focus on MySQL and ETL processes.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and database design principles, particularly with MySQL.
• Proficiency in Python programming for data manipulation, scripting, and automation would be nice to have
• Solid understanding of ETL tools and frameworks, with experience in Azure Data Factory considered a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and their data services - nice to have one of them
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
