AWS Cloud Data Engineer

Next Ventures are currently executing a search for an experienced AWS Data engineer for a 6 months contract opportunity to be fully remote for 6 months , an onsite presence may be required for occasional visits . Local consultant preferred , local rates and working on IST zone.

Data Engineer

• Tenure: 6 months.

• Any chances of extension: Yes – Will extend on need basis

• Shift Timings: Regular (8 hrs) – need some flexibility

• No. of positions: 01

This is a full time contract position , 40 hours per week , 6 months guaranteed work (Remote working from Home). This is to be working as a freelance sub contractor positon, not fully employed . full time commitment is a requirement , there is a very strong opportunity to extend.

• Experience: 3-5 years – Standard

• Expected start data: Immediately after selection (latest by 5th July)

• Mandatory Skills: (Must Have Skills)

o Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in AWS, Big Data, Python, Data Engineering set-up

o Strong programming skills (some combination of Python, Java, and Scala preferred)

o Experience in writing SQL, structuring data, and data storage practices

o Experience in building data pipelines and micro services

o Support use of data engineering toolsets (AWS stack, RDS, SDS)

• Optional Skills: (Good to Have Skills)

o Experience working with Spark, Hive, Airflow and other streaming technologies to process incredible volumes of streaming data

o Experience working on Amazon Web Services (using EMR, Kinesis, RDS, S3, SQS)

• Roles & Responsibilities:

• In-depth understanding of Hadoop Framework including MapReduce concepts and parallel processing

• Experienced with data modelling

• Knowledge of Data Warehousing Concepts

• It will be added advantage if you have experience in following

• Created and maintained optimal data pipeline architecture.

Involved assembling large, complex unstructured data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
