Identify and assist in delivering Front to Back Functional Design/ system design improvements
work with key stakeholders including Business Change teams and wider SMEs within CTB organizations in GCRG Technology to identify and delivery on Functional/System design, Data Model / Data Quality improvement opportunities
assist in collaborating with F2B stakeholders (e.g. Compliance, Operations, Front Office) to ensure system enhancements are considered on a F2B basis and improvements are scheduled / structured keeping in view our F2B priorities
use Technical knowhow (Enterprise Architecture, Database, data model) to support Capability Change teams to design data models and ensure logical and physical data models are properly reflected in data model repository of GCRG (Enterprise architecture, DGP)
use Technical knowhow (Spark + other applications) to identify short term End User based enhancements while considering medium/long term enhancements to eliminate issues that may be leading to manual workarounds/Adjustments. Thereby, working to drive down Manual Adjustments made across the system
assist in working with GCRG change team to design and implement dashboards to represent Data Quality for upstream data as well as Data produced within GCRG
assist with sizing of funding requirements for prioritized Changes in relation to enhancements driven by Data Strategy teams
assist in driving appropriate prioritization of various change initiatives
Project Management / Structuring of initiatives
provide Project Management Support as and when required, for Data Strategy and Business Architecture driven initiatives, in full compliance with PMF guidelines
assist with providing structure to some of the work performed across the Data Strategy and Business Architecture team and coordinate materials for Weekly team meetings / business Architecture Review & other meetings, as necessary
present findings of analysis and recommendations to senior management in a succinct manner
provide general support to Data Strategy and Business Architecture team, on a need basis
Your team
You’ll be working in the GCRG and GIA IT team based globally. You’ll combine your technical vision, analytical, communication and leadership skills to drive the design, development and implementation of big data systems. You’ll translate business requirements into the appropriate data models, processing frameworks and data workflows that can integrate disparate data sources into an enterprise data lake.
You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside other talented engineers, CTO, and data scientists on cutting-edge big data, search, machine learning and analytics problems
Your expertise
experience in Agile methodology
experience in Interpreting business needs of users and translating them into the application requirement with the help of strong analytical and product skills (you know what they really want)
a thorough understanding of capital markets and knowledge of equity and equity derivative products
excellent data analysis skills and the ability to query/work with large volume data (e.g., writing complex SQL queries) to facilitate requirements capture
experience participating in Integration, functional and user acceptance testing (UAT)
ability to write clear, concise, and thorough requirements and functional design documentation to a professional standard
exposed to technical skills like Oracle, Data warehousing, Extract transformation & load (ETL)
exposure to Databricks
possess university degree or professional qualification preferred.
significant experience in Banking/Finance line roles, including understanding of Financial Products best practice and control environments
performed lead roles in strategic change programs and multi-tenant governance models
excellent presentation skills and ability to engage senior leaders in full and frank dialogue
comfortable working independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
excellent verbal and written communication skills (fluent in English is a must)
