This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field or technical experience
  • 5+ years working in a Data Engineer/Architect role.
  • 3+ years of professional software development.
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages, (e.g. Python, Java, C#)
  • Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
  • Substantial experience in architecture and system design.
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices.
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative agile teams (Scrum, Jira) to achieve organizational goals.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools & process (Git/BitBucket, GitHub, GitLabs, Jenkins, Bamboo etc),
  • Significant experience working with one of the industry databases: MySql, Oracle, or any No-SQL data stores.
  • Background in data modeling (physical and logical).
  • Experience building ETL data pipelines, and knowledge of integration patterns and messaging technologies such as Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
  • Knowledge about Big Data platforms and tools such as Spark, Hadoop, Google BigQuery, Apache Storm etc., and experience in datawarehouses, data lakes/data lakehouses.
  • Experience building and deploying solutions to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure etc.

  • Good verbal and written communication in English.
