We are looking for a Data Scientist (M/F/D) for our Hamburg office or fully remote.
As a Data Scientist at VIVERE, you will shape the future of our data-driven incubation platform and help fulfill our promise to become a leading next-generation consumer goods company. The ideal candidate has an uncanny ability to create validated learnings for our business at scale. By applying your technical skills and analytical mindset as well as your intuition for consumers and for products alike, you will help define the experiences we build for thousands of customers around the world.
Reporting directly to our V.P. Engineering & Data Science, you will collaborate on a wide array of product and business-related problems with a diverse set of cross-functional partners across Marketing, Research, Operations, Production, Sales, Finance and more.
Tasks
- Work with complex data sets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using different analytical and statistical approaches (i.e. descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics using statistics, visualizations, ML, and AI).
- Define, understand, and test opportunities to improve the product, and drive roadmaps through your insights and recommendations.
- Identify and measure the success of our efforts through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring of key metrics.
- Build/maintain actionable KPIs, production-quality dashboards, informative deep dives, and scalable data products.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams to inform, influence, support, and execute product strategy and investment decisions.
Requirements
- Degree in an analytical and/or quantitative field (ideally)
- 2+ years of data mining, applied statistics and quantitative modeling.
- 2+ years of scripting experience with one of these languages (Python, R).
- 2+ years of SQL experience or other programming languages.
- Initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance.
- Translate analytical insights into clear recommendations.
- Effectively communicate results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Launch productionized machine learning models at scale.
- Strong sense of ownership and growth mindset.
- Proficient in English.
- Ability to work within the E.U. (permanent residency).
