Position Title: Chronic Disease Data Analyst

Overview:
The CDC Foundation is seeking a Chronic Disease Data Analyst to provide public health and health outcomes data analysis services in the areas of chronic disease prevention and control, health promotion, and health outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree and at least one (1) to three (3) years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge and expertise in statistical analysis using SAS and SPSS
- Experience in epidemiology data analysis for public health and health outcomes initiatives
- Experience using ArcGIS or a similar mapping software
- Demonstrated history of evidence based public health practice and evaluation
- Knowledge of health care outcomes and quality improvement analysis
- Experience in team-based data analysis initiatives with multiple stakeholders, including students
- Possesses and maintains a valid, current Driver’s License, automobile insurance, and reliable private transport
Responsibilities:
- Assist in evaluation of Cancer Programs, the Immunization Program and other evidence-based health initiatives by carrying data analysis planning, implementation, and collaboration
- Utilize the Cancer Registry and other Department of Health Catalyst databases to determine trends and provide analysis of specific cancer data including, but not limited to, cancer types, disparities, geographic location, and program outcomes
- Utilize cancer program data to assist in cancer cluster analysis and determine cancer screening rates
- Utilize Immunization Registry data to assist in analysis of youth and adult vaccination rates and trends
- Develop and update immunization data dashboards including, but not limited to, school and influenza vaccinations
- Determine high/low performing provider sites in South Dakota Cancer Screening and Immunization programs
- Develop public health data maps using ArcGIS software
- Department of Health quality improvement activities, such as measuring performance indicators by screening site
- Out of state travel as necessary to carry out project activities and present findings

This position is currently a remote position. CDC Foundation retains the right to make adjustments to this as required.
This position requires the operation of a motor vehicle as a component of the job responsibilities and duties.
