What does the role involve?
A business as diverse as ours is powered by data , and we need someone like you to help us on our journey to transform data ingestion, quality, analytics , and reporting.
As a Data Scientist, you play an integral role in taking our existing data capabilities and solutions on a journey to the next level. You'll support us to expand our data science and complex data analysis capabilities across Novuna by providing detailed data analysis to explore and identify opportunities to improve our business systems and processes.
Some Of Your Key Duties Will Include
- Providing data-driven problem solving utilising mathematical skills and programming capabilities
- Identifying innovative opportunities to improve our capabilities ; making recommendations to introduce what is appropriate and will improve our business
- Use multiple advanced computational analysis methods to enable effective data-driven decision making by stakeholders throughout the business
- To keep up to date with new innovation and technology and make recommendations to introduce what is appropriate and will improve our business D&A
What are we looking for?
You're enthusiastic about delivering data solutions that empower business to grow and improve. You'll have some exposure to working in a Data Science environment, with a good technical grounding and a desire to learn more.
Also, We're Looking For The Following
- Strong SQL programming skills, with good knowledge of Python and other languages (e.g. R)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work and collaborate with colleagues
- Good mathematics skills, including statistics, calculus and linear algebra
- Cloud based analytic and integration toolsets (such as Microsoft Azure and AWS) would be an advantage
