Senior Data Analyst

This role is a full time role supporting the AMP data team in all aspects regarding data management on the AMP platform, e.g.: managing regulatory and financial data from insurance intermediaries and supporting the BAU process for DFEnS. The role requires close cooperation with our business teams and deep involvement in various facets of GL’s DA processes.

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with the DFEnS system and GL Data Team you will:

• Undertake the following tasks for DFEnS
• Support business with their data analysis and reporting requirements
• Analyse Data Quality
• Support on-board MGAs to our DFEnS system
• Resolve data questions/issues
• Support the business users with each MGAs go-live
• Engage with the business and the internal IT team to raise feature requests thus actively shaping our continuous enhancements process
• Perform quality assurance, system and user acceptance testing
• Provide support and training to the external and internal users where required
• Respond to and resolve escalations through liaison with the business, internal and external service providers
• Utilise appropriate tools and techniques to support change activities
• Actively contribute to the improvement of GL data management processes and systems
• Undertake learning of IT offerings to identify and provide business units with expertise and advice on how best to utilise within their business processes
• Be a conduit between the Business and IT

Support other data related projects (e.g. data warehouse project), depending on capacity/ demand

Essential

Key Skills & Experience:

• Strong data analytics/ data management experience
• Strong requirements analysis skills
• Strong communication, facilitation & presentation
• Experience of stakeholder management at all levels of the organisation, including senior executive.
• Strong technical understanding with problem solving abilities.

Desirable

• Specific MGA knowledge and delegated authority experience would be highly desirable
• Business analysis skills from feasibility study through to delivery
• Strong understanding of IT business architecture design and operating models.
• Ability to work with third parties and offshore development teams.
• Agile development methodology such as Scrum would be beneficial
• Eagerness to understand data-flows thoroughly end-to-end
• Background in relational database design, SQL and data visualisation
