JOB SUMMARY: This role supports the Sustainability team and is responsible for maintaining data sources and processes and pulling and analyzing Sustainability-related data from internal and external sources. The role is also responsible for updating recurring reports and dashboards and providing support to the Sustainability team for any administrative work or ad hoc requests. This role will also create reports for various levels within the organization, coordinate across Division teams to ensure data compliance, and contribute to process improvements efforts.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Data Preparation and Analysis
- Ensure that established data sources and processes are updated accurately and in a timely manner; Includes quality assurance, troubleshooting discrepancies, and pulling data from several sources to compile user-friendly reports.
- Daily, weekly, and monthly tracking of assigned metrics [i.e., ENERGY STAR, WaterSense, Indoor airPLUS, Zero Energy Ready Home, state and federal mandated metrics including emissions, home energy rating system (HERS), etc.]
- Update and maintain internal master data spreadsheets.
- Maintain and troubleshoot data collection process.
- Pull data through extraction of various sources.
- Review raw data, analyze for trends, and asses for alignment with our processes
- Collaborate with team members to maintain data ecosystem.
- Identify underlying trends in data.
- Gather content for award application submittals (i.e., ENERGY STAR).
- Support content development and data needs for company Sustainability report.
- Work with datasets that may be unstructured and require additional transformation prior to analysis.
- Provide feedback for divisions and internal teams based heavily on analysis and subsequent recommendations given what is found in the data.
Reporting
- Update recurring reports and dashboards according to schedule and distribute to identified stakeholders.
- Extract, pull, transform, and load reports.
- Responsible for quality assurance while processing reports.
- Communicate with divisions and external partners to follow up and reconcile data as needed.
- Maintain and monitor division scorecards to ensure compliance with Sustainability guidelines.
- Track and report on Sustainability-related compliance metrics and environmental, social, and guidance (ESG) ratings.
- Establish collaborative relationships with division personnel to ensure analysis is received and considered to improve on compliance and business practices to meet set sustainability goals.
Ad hoc support
- Provide general administrative and project-related support to the Sustainability team.
- Support outreach efforts for Sustainability initiatives (i.e., waste diversion, certifications, etc.)
- Can include ad hoc requests, new reports or dashboards, troubleshooting data, testing, etc.
- Can also include reviewing Sustainability training materials for corporate and cross-functional division personnel.
- Maintain up-to-date procedural documentation and review internal processes as required.
Education/Experience/Minimum Requirements
Education/Certifications/Licenses
- High school degree or equivalent required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or other related discipline preferred
- Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics or related discipline is a plus
Experience
- 2-3 years of work experience in data analytics is required; Experience should be in a Corporate environment in support of business process compliance
- Prior experience in analytic tools (Advanced Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI, etc.) is a plus
- Prior experience creating data visualizations, dashboards, and charts
- Prior experience working with large datasets; ability to analyze and draw conclusions from raw data
- Prior experience creating custom reports tailored for a target audience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Intermediate Excel skills for data analysis, including pivot tables, lookup formulas, IF functions, conditional formatting, SQL queries, etc. are required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft PPT and Suite.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Strong critical thinking capabilities to troubleshoot and resolve issues including creative problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- A demonstrated ability to work creatively and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and to respond immediately to issues.
- Motivation to excel and be proactive in all aspects of the job.
Work Requirements
- 8-hour workdays with flexibility to work overtime when needed due to special projects or events.
- Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to potential buyers, trade partners, and coworkers to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company.
- Position is on-site in Pomona, CA; During training period, expect to be onsite, with the potential to eventually be in more of a hybrid schedule (2-3 days between office and work from home) depending on the team’s needs and determined by manager.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- Base Salary: The expected base salary range is $65,000-$75,000 per year depending on experience paid semi-monthly.
- Bonus: This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
