The Trauma Data Systems Analyst (TDSA) will be responsible for ProMedica Toledo Hospital/Toledo Children’s Hospital, ProMedica Flower Hospital, Fremont Memorial, ProMedica Bay Park, and Fostoria Community Hospital trauma registry and meeting the requirements for the State of Ohio under Senate Bill 98. The TDSA, under the supervision of the Trauma Program Director, will provide data on trauma patients to meet the requirements for the State of Ohio Trauma Registry. The TDSA is responsible for abstracting information from patient records, assigning E-Codes, Trauma Scores, Glasgow Coma Scale, Injury Severity Scores, and ICD-10 codes for all patients meeting state trauma registry criteria. This responsibility includes: The Toledo Hospital, Toledo Children’s Hospital, Flower Hospital, Bay Park, Fremont Memorial and Fostoria Community Hospital and other hospitals in the ProMedica System as assigned. The TDSA is responsible for the quality of the data for all 443 variables in the State of Ohio Trauma Registry. Enters all data in Trauma Registry; develops and designs quality assurance, research and utilization review reports from the registry. Generate statistical analysis on trauma data for research purposes. Prepares trauma registry reports and clinically related projects for research and publication. Assists the Medical Director of Trauma Services and the Trauma Program Director in the day-to-day departmental activities.
