i360, the leading data and technology provider for the pro-free market public policy and advocacy community, supports organizations that promote free enterprise and smaller government. i360 is a dynamic workplace sitting on the leading edge of public policy, technology, and business, and is seeking an intern who is excited about their cause as they are about building the next generation of political technology.

i360 is seeking an intern to join its data operations team. The intern will assist the Database Engineers on the team in building new features, deploying existing features, QA the data and help with writing technical documentation.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide assistance and work with Database Engineers in building and testing SQL and NoSQL database solutions
• Assist in determining business requirements and planning and deploying test systems
• QA data imported by various processes
• Investigate, analyze, correct and document reported data defects
• Create and maintain technical specification documentation

This position is located in Arlington, VA. This role is open to remote candidates residing in the U.S. except within the state of Colorado.

The Experience You Will Bring?

Requirements:

• Eligible candidates will be enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science or related field with an anticipated graduation date of Dec 2021- December 2022
• Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts
• Some experience with NoSQL technologies such as Elasticsearch, Cassandra or MongoDB
• Experience with scripting languages such as Java, Python or GO

Assets:

• Familiarity with Spark and Kafka is a plus
