What You'll Do

• Work with a team of skilled and experienced Big Data/Software engineers to design and code large scale real-time/batch data pipelines and tables
• Build data pipelines using Python/Scala/Java
• Implement all the necessary infrastructures which allow self-healing and observable monitoring of data ingestion, and consumption through Datadog.
• Define, develop and maintain artefacts like technical design or user documentation and look for continuous improvement in software and development process within an agile mindset
• In collaboration with other Data Engineering teams, validate and maintain data pipeline across our data ecosystem for the Product Effectiveness team
• Background in monitoring / performing root cause analysis in data pipelines such as DBT, Streamset and Airflow
• Mine data from multiple data sources in Hive, and others, with a special focus on data stored as JSON
• Write and revise complex SQL queries or Python to acquire and analyze data and to tune queries
• Wrangle and clean data via ETL processes as necessary to support data science and data analyst teams
• Validate data quality and perform root cause analysis to remediate issues as needed
• Implement testing and observability across the data infrastructure to ensure data quality from raw sources to downstream models.
• Effectively comment and document developed code to empower peers and future colleagues to get maximum value from the data pipelines you develop
• Scope and plan the work across multi-team efforts, working with key stakeholders to establish a plan for implementation and delivery
  

Who You Are

Degree in Computer science or related technical field or equivalent related professional experience

5+ years of meaningful work experience in Big Data /distributed computer projects

experience in crafting real-time streaming and batch applications-Good to Have

Extensive experience in programming in Scala/Java/Python (any)

Experience building data pipelines using cloud services (eg. - AWS)

Passionate about working with data and data technologies
