Are you an experienced data engineer who would like to build different products on a mixture of data platform and various AWS services?

We are looking for our new teammate who enjoys collaboration on tasks and is open minded for new insights!

Core Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, monitor and support scalable ETL flows for the demand forecasting product.
  • Participate in the architecture, design, implementation, unit and system tests to ensure modularity, reusability and quality of the technical components
  • Responsible for using and implementing the right technology and frameworks based on the architecture and requirements
  • Build and maintain data workflows that are robust, scalable and efficient, by using best practices in data modeling and data processing.
  • Operate and support current running Data applications together with the rest of the team
  • Give inputs to how we can optimize the use of cloud services and improve our codebase
  • Optimize and improve on our CI/CD pipelines for optimal deployments

Our team is part of the newly formed Data Office, which role is to drive value from data across the entire LEGO Group. The team is passionate about designing, building and maintaining data science products. We have full-stack responsibility of the solutions we create and lead the entire codebase.
You will support our demand forecasting product, where it’s the teams' responsibility to make sure the data pipelines and other technical components are scalable, responsive and performing. The role requires working with the needed data and setting up the data models required by the data scientists to do the forecasts, this is done via a combination of SQL scripts and spark jobs. The generated models also have to be served to other teams via API interfaces.
The tasks require that you gain a thorough knowledge around the data sources and the processes behind the business logic of the dataflow, so a good understanding of business processes is an advantage

Do you have what it takes?

You have a degree in Computer Science or Software engineering or similar. Have the experience in python or scala with the knowledge of cloud services. You are passionate about utilising data in a product that provides value. In addition, you have:
  • Knowledge around container technologies
  • Working experience with data modelling and SQL scripts
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, concepts and ways of working
