Your role as a Data Analyst – Customer Success at Movella

As a Data Analyst you utilize your knowledge to provide technical and post-sales support to our customer base primarily located in North America, including large enterprise athletic organizations with applications in sports and human performance. Tableau development and reporting will be a key aspect of this role.

This position is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia and is part of our global sales and support team. Day-to-day responsibilities will include working with key account teams internally & externally. You will report to the Regional Customer Support Manager based in Halifax, NS.

Key challenges:

  • Apply sport science and clinical research to ensure alignment of Performance Analytics initiatives with overall sport performance strategy for customer.
  • Create data-driven solutions to maximize athlete wellbeing and training availability.​
  • Manage the analysis and reporting of all relevant data to provide insights applicable to athlete performance.
  • In collaboration with thePerformance Data Scientist, apply innovative predictive modeling, machine learning, and data visualization methods to solve challenging high-performance problems.​
  • Ability to create, maintain and troubleshoot R-Scripts and other data collection methods
  • Clearly and efficiently communicate analytical insights to all stakeholders regardless of technical ability.

Your skills and experience

  • A university degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business or Sports Management or a related field with extensive experience applying analytics techniques to business problems.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Languages (R, Python, SAS), Data Visualization software (Tableau, Power BI), Database Functionality (SQL, Snowflake) and other Programming
  • Solid understanding and working knowledge of Sport Science, Clinical Research Performance Analytics, and Sport Performance.​
  • Knowledge and development of Athlete Management Systems (AMS).​
  • Expertise in Sports Technologies and Wearables.​
  • Knowledge of Snowflake and the ability to create new data sources.
  • Technical knowledge and experience working with API Documentation to properly scope and troubleshoot API Issues. ​
