About the Role

Sitting within the global sustainability team you’ll deliver high quality, fit-for-purpose analysis and insights on current, and forecast sustainability performance as well as drive step-change improvements in our data management approach.

You’ll help drive improved sustainability performance through harnessing data & insights that support informed internal decision making, robust external reporting & delivery of our 2030 grain to glass strategic sustainability initiatives.

Working closely with our sustainability SME’s and members of our digital & strategy teams on data related to carbon, energy, water, packaging, waste and more, you will:

  • Generate, analyse, and draw insights from large, complex data sets drawn from multiple systems in relation to Diageo’s 2030 G2G Sustainability targets
  • Help create dashboards / visualization tools / standardized reporting templates (i.e. PowerBI) to automate internal sustainability reporting
  • Develop and help automate key analysis protocols that accurately capture, predict and / or visualise our performance, using both leading and lagging indicators.
  • Help define use cases for the creation and update of new reporting / visualisation tools in concert with our Digital & Technology Team
  • Undertake data cleansing of key systems to ensure accuracy and reliability of resultant data
  • Interpret and succinctly communicate insights and findings from analysis to optimise business processes
  • Support internal / external reporting processes
  • Help define and embed data governance frameworks

You’ll have the opportunity to get involved in a huge range of sustainability-data initiatives, giving you enormous scope to learn how the company works, where the improvement opportunities are and how best to affect change at scale. This is a role that you’ll be able to shape as we progress along our data maturity journey.

About you

To be successful in role it is essential that you have experience in data analysis and modelling which includes building insights from fragmented data sources, data cleansing and automation key analysis protocols.

You will be a structured and organised self-starter who is comfortable making sense from ambiguity.

It would be great if you have visualisation and dashboard design and deployment experience as well as building and improving data governance frameworks.

You will be a strategic thinker who recognises which insights drive business value and how best to impactfully communicate these with technical and non-technical audiences.

You will have strong stakeholder management experience with different cultures and diverse groups

Experience within sustainability and an understanding of FMCG is advantageous but not required.

It would be great if you have experience with PowerBi, SAP, Python etc
