Are you a bioinformatician or data analyst experienced in biomedical research and keen on contributing to cutting-edge biomedical research?
The Mass Spectrometry Facility performs state-of-the-art proteomics analyses for more than 30 research groups on campus and beyond. You will support our team in conducting advanced data analyses of proteomics datasets, test and implement new analysis pipelines, help optimizing the existing workflows, and surprise us with your innovative ideas for the exciting challenges that our team meets every day.
Data analysis of discovery and targeted proteomics LC-MS/MS data to help our customers answer their biological questions
Develop or implement new standard procedures for data analysis & presentation
Keep up-to-date with current developments in the field
Document all procedures reliably and communicate results to customers
Take responsibility for projects and report to Facility-head
Education: Master (or PhD) in Bioinformatics, Data Science or similar, or a proven track record in the field
Documented hands-on experience in the analysis of biomedical omics data
Solid bioinformatics skills, fluent in programming languages required for data analysis (R and/or Python), and experienced in data visualization
A solid foundation in statistics and experience with HPC is of advantage
Interest in mass spectrometry and proteomics, curiosity for new approaches
Good communication skills, fluent in English (oral and written)

At MSc level we offer a minimum salary of EUR 2.971,50 (gross per month) for 40h with possible overpayment depending on qualification and work experience
The position is available from June 1st, 2021 onwards and limited to two years with a possible extension after evaluation
