Job Description

The Data Engineer role is responsible for delivering high quality data solutions and the integrations of cloud applications. Working with data extraction, transformation, pre-processing and availability. Working in an agile environment you will provide technical expertise and support while delivering quality solutions to appropriate standards and accepted best practices. On a day to day basis the Data Engineer is actively participating in the agile processes of the organization, positively contributing to discussions and team dynamics. The Data Engineer is responsible for developing appropriate test, monitoring, handover and technical escalation support.

This role can be based remotely anywhere in Australia.

  • At least 4 years of commercial data engineering required
  • Data modelling and data analysis
  • Excellent understanding of Agile development methodology and development practices such as TDD, Kanban, Lean, etc.
  • Commercial level experience with Informatica Cloud.
  • Commercial level experience with REST APIs and a solid understanding of OAUTH and OAUTH 2.
  • Commercial level experience with AWS S3.
  • Commercial level experience with Salesforce integrations.
  • Experience inside of Salesforce Marketing Cloud specifically (AMP Script experience favourable).
  • Commercial level experience with MS SQL Server.
  • Commercial level experience with JSON & XML.
  • Application, memory and database profiling experience required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Informatica real time guides Salesforce plugin.
  • Experience with unit testing and acceptance criteria frameworks.
  • Experience in distributed source control system (such as Git).
