Data Analyst

The Role

Apploi is hiring a Data Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team in our fast-paced, innovative, and remote-first company.

The Apploi data and analytics team is the driving force behind our data-driven decision-making processes. We work across various departments to uncover insights that propel our business forward, including customer success, product, and operations. Our team is responsible for building and maintaining the data infrastructure, creating analytical models, and developing data visualization tools that enable teams across the organization to make informed decisions.

As a Data Analyst at Apploi, you'll play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights. You'll work with large datasets, create reports and dashboards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-informed strategies. This role also offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the success of Apploi's workforce management platform.

Who you are

The ideal candidate for this role will possess a combination of technical skills and analytical thinking. We're seeking someone who can translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. Here are the qualities and skills we value:

• 1-3 years of experience in a data analyst or similar role
• High level of proficiency in SQL, with experience writing complex queries and optimizing performance
• Familiarity with using Python for data analysis and scripting.
• Experience with DBT and Snowflake, or willingness to quickly learn these technologies
• Experience with data visualization tools.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development practices
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with the latest trends in data analytics

What you’ll do

• Develop and maintain data models using DBT and Snowflake
• Create insightful visualizations and dashboards using tools like Sigma
• Write complex SQL queries to extract and analyze data from various sources
• Collaborate with product and customer success teams to understand reporting needs and deliver data-driven solutions
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses to answer business questions and support decision-making
• Develop Python scripts for data processing, analysis, and automation
• Identify trends and patterns in data to provide valuable insights to stakeholders
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our data infrastructure and processes
