The role
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in the Data team, you will report to Alexandre our Data Director, and team up with the Product team to put artificial intelligence at the heart of Inato's product.
Over the past years, we have focused on building automated workflows and capturing rich data on sites and trials. We now have access to thousands of data points describing the sites’s journey from the first outreach until their selection for a trial. This information was stored, structured, and made accessible through data pipelines supported by a modern data stack.
We are now at a pivotal point where these foundations allow us to leverage AI to improve the entire user experience for both sites & sponsors. Concretely, this will enable us to automate data pre-filling, refine trial-site matching, and accelerate trial activation, allowing sites to offer the right trial to their patients within weeks instead of months.
As a Senior ML engineer, you will be both:
- A partner to the Product Managers, helping them understand when Machine Learning can solve business problems
- An enabler for our Product Squads serving ML models in production that bring measurable value to our users. Our product squads are composed of a product manager, a product designer, engineers, a data engineer, and a product data analyst

For sponsors, site selection is a risk-heavy and burdensome process. As a senior ML engineer, you will help:
- reduce risk by identifying predictors of site poor performance
- simplify their processes by facilitating data transformation between heterogeneous documents

We want to elevate our offerings to clinical research sites to become long term business partners with them. This is how we believe we will maximize engagement. We need your help to:
- Reduce the burden for sites when filling feasibility questionnaires
- Proactively identify improvement areas for sites such that they might become eligible for more trialsIdentify the best possible trial matches for sites using various data inputs

- Pair with Product Managers to define your roadmap
- Build PoC to validate the feasibility of ML use cases
- Implement, deploy, and monitor ML features

✅ Requirements
- 3+ years experience in building ML models
- experience setting ML models in production and monitoring them
- proficiency with data exploration tools (python, pandas)
Nice-to-have:
- experience with NLP models
- experience with LLMs (GenAI)
- experience working with medical data
