Experian Consumer Services acquired Gabi in October 2021 and is reinventing the insurance broker model with technology, data, and human interaction. We are on a mission to make the process of finding the best home and auto insurance easy, straightforward, and transparent. We’re serious about building and using technology to save our customers money, time, and hassle, and we’re just getting started with what we will accomplish. Reporting to our Head of Growth, this role is remote with some expectation of travel to San Francisco. We are a team of of hard-working, passionate, super-smart people from a great mix of backgrounds in insurance, financial services, and technology.

What you'll be doing:
We are looking for a Data Analyst to own analytics, reporting and forecasting to support our growth team. Our aspiration is to become the largest digital insurance agency in the US, which will require 10x+ growth from current results. This job is to use insights from data to unlock major value and enable the growth team to achieve this ambitious goal.

You will work closely with leadership to provide data-driven insights and help identify the top opportunities to increase engagement with the Gabi product and optimize conversion.

  • Partner with a cross-functional (marketing, product, etc.) group to understand business strategy, challenges and goals to discover areas to grow at scale.
  • Deliver deep-dive analyses of key KPI performance (top of funnel, conversion, retention, etc.) to identify and diagnose meaningful trends.
  • Put forward hypotheses and recommendations for future initiatives and programs based on insights gleaned from data.
  • Own A/B testing for all parts of the sales funnel; this entails both setting up and executing tests, as well as using insights to prioritize the testing roadmap.
  • Own all new business forecasting and planning processes.
  • Define business metrics to ensure that the company is using data in a way that is most aligned to our business goals.
  • Own customer acquisition channel reporting suite along with all growth related tech stacks.
  • Drive sophisticated customer segmentation analysis and cohort level LTV modeling.
  • Evaluate performance by customer, carrier, coverage, discounts and beyond to inform product and partner optimization.
  • Utilize proprietary and third-party tools (business intelligence platform, web analytics platforms and ad-serving technologies) to report and analyze product, customer, pricing and revenue data.


What your background looks like:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in a quantitative-focused analytics role in a fast-paced data-driven environment.
  • Must have led or participated in at least two projects that contributed to prior company’s growth in a meaningful way.
  • Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills. Must have the ability to explain complex analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to rapidly understand the inner workings of our business.
  • Solid understanding of data technology and best practices (Looker, Tableau, Snowflake).
  • Proficient in SQL and handling big data (experience with Python or other scripting languages not needed, but a plus).
  • Solid understanding of multivariate testing, attribution modeling, media mix modeling, lift analysis, and customer segmentation highly preferred
  • Experience in FinTech/InsurTech or products with complex data architectures.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and work with key stakeholders across different departments.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, math, statistics or economics preferred, but not needed.
  • Understanding of basic segmentation and general linear modeling is preferred, but not needed.


  • During this pandemic, all Experian employees are working remotely. Once it’s safe to do so, we’ll slowly return to our offices however we are in no rush to do this. The safety of our employees is of utmost importance.
