Your job

Our data scientists and engineers work on projects including AI and deep learning for image processing, claims process efficiencies, and fraud detection using advanced machine learning and data mining, marketing analytics, natural catastrophe modelling, and many more exciting topics.

We are looking for a talented Machine Learning Engineer to join our Data Analytics team who is proficient in the fields of deep learning, machine learning, image processing, and who can deploy our products and solutions to cloud or on-premise.

Your profile

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, statistics, applied mathematics, information technology, engineering, or a comparable discipline (Master’s, >=4 years of industry ML engineering experience or if Ph.D, >= 2 years of industry ML engineering experience)
• Must have expertise in programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, Javascript, React.js
• Experience in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and /or Tensorflow/Keras
• Experience with more than one of the following topics: pattern recognition, image recognition, natural language processing, traditional machine learning algorithm
• Experience in developing and optimizing web/ mobile applications, RESTful APIs, closely working with back-end/front-end engineer
• Experience of having worked on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.), Docker, Kubernetes
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, etc.), CI/CD and unit testing
• Familiarity with MLOps is a plus
• Prior experience in insurance industry is preferred
• Ideal candidate is committed, motivated, willing to learn new tools technologies, and be willing to step outside their comfort zone
• Needs to be a self-starter, be willing to collaborate effectively, with internal partners in other AI teams across the globe and AI centres in Munich to leverage capabilities in cloud and big data technologies
• Fluent business English is essential
• Note this is a Contract position for initially 12 months
