Job Description Summary: The role of Data Analyst, GSR Innovation & Customer Experience (ICE) is to participate in, and lead specific innovation and customer experience initiatives to provide sound loss mitigation and enhance automation capabilities within Global Seller Risk.
Designs and develops programmes, methods, processes and systems to consolidate and analyse big data
Creates and introduces new analytic tools, methods, processes, systems and capabilities to apply to broad practices
Works on projects that may be unstructured and exploratory in nature, that require a high level of theoretic as well as practical expertise in one or more specialised technical fields
Uses a wide range of previous experience, internal and external technologies, and advanced concepts to solve complex technical challenges in creative and effective ways
Builds models to test hypothesis, forecast/predict future events, isolate key business drivers and arrive at insights
Develops frameworks for automated actions or analyst-driven decisions
Interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to business stakeholders
Partners with stakeholders to develop meaningful actions
A minimum of 1-2 years required experience in business, technical/statistical programming, and/or similar analytic or risk roles
Bachelors Degree in related STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics). Economics and Statistics experience also preferred
Some experience with and proficiency in technical skills and programming language like Java/C/C++; scripting language like Python; strong UNIX background; working knowledge of Hadoop, Hive, Pig, R, Jupyter Notebooks; data warehouse skills
Strong ability in breaking down problems into their essential elements, carrying out a diagnosis and developing a solution
Demonstrates excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills with senior leaders of the organisation
Strong ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels in the organisation
