As a data scientist you collect, explore and analyze datasets of structured and unstructured data to develop data driven solutions to a variety of business challenges. Typically, you leverage advanced algorithms by using statistical methods along with programming skills to create value. You will closely collaborate with finance domain experts and data analysts.

You will need to forge alliances with similar data science hubs in the organization, creating a collaborative environment in which these hubs strengthen each other.

You will drive adoption of predictive and prescriptive based insights, enabling high quality decision making throughout ASML.

Your responsibilities will include:
Create predictive and prescriptive insights in (non-)financial data on the full lifecycle
Help building the Finance analytics organization as part of a larger transformation program
Working together with other analytics teams within the company Education and experience
Education
Technical Master or bachelor degree, preferably in the area of Data Science or Econometrics, Computer Science,Mathematics or Technical Business Administration.
Experience
5 to 8 years working experience in Data Science
Experience in descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive modeling
Ability to apply complex statistics to large datasets
Ability to write machine and deep learning algorithms
Experience of utilizing market leading analytics processes and tools to support and drive business strategy
Ability and experience of effectively communicating and influencing across all levels of a large global organization
Experience in using SAP BW, SAP4Hana Enterprise Data Warehouse, Knime and/ or Tibco Spotfire is an advantage. Skills

The job is part of the ASML finance organization, within the Business Insights & Control team. Within this department, we are looking for a data scientist for our Center of Improvement. He or she reports to the team lead of the Data Science and Analytics team and will interact with various departments in and outside of finance.
