Job description

Develops, constructs, test and maintains control and data acquisition systems. Supports all test bay operations in acquisition of clean, usable data. Helps with troubleshooting of test center equipment and data systems. Coordinates transfer of large proprietary data sets. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:
40% - Essential - Data Systems - Designs, constructs, installs and maintains highly scalable National Instruments data acquisition systems. This includes hardware, software and instrumentation for three multi-megawatt test bays with large channel counts, varying channel types and customer specific process requirements.

30% - Essential - Data Management - Ensures systems meet testing requirements and industry practices while providing secure, high-quality data. Secures data transfer - requires password protected VPN access and management. Control of data quality - requires proper concern for all stages of the data process including: acquisition, signal conditioning, conversion, storage, accessibility, data management, analysis, transfer and release.

20% - Essential - Controls - Installs, configures, calibrates and troubleshoots sensors, data acquisition systems, PLC's and motor drives.

5% - Essential - Technical Project Management - Creates test plans. Maintains planning, scheduling, task management and cost estimates. Supports communication, manages relationships and leads meetings with customers - internal and external stakeholders.

5% - Essential - Statistical Analysis - Performs statistical analysis and modeling of data sets. May be required to provide tools for custom analysis of large sets of data as well as provide result-based recommendations critical to test campaign progress.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering or Applied Math
Experience - LabVIEW experience, Software cabinet design and sensor installation desired
Licenses - Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
