Lead Data Scientist | Swindon | £55,000-£65,000 per year

As the Lead Data Scientist for this awesome company, you’ll use various Data Science techniques to analyse large datasets to find trends & insights which will help to improve business performance. You’ll want to discover and solve problems that are hidden within large data sets and you’ll use your stakeholder management skills to help improve business outcomes.
Your new team:
This is an established Data Science function where you’ll be joining a team of 7 other Data Scientists and their Director. They’re all at different levels with varying skills, an environment & who really value knowledge-sharing.
You’ll report into senior management (Head of level) and this is a new hire due to how busy the company are, not back-filling a role where someone has left. You’ll take complete ownership of varying projects across multiple clients and will develop machine learning algorithms, statistical models, as well as data analysis & insight delivery to answer questions to real business problems.

They’re a Marketing company with clients, so have numerous clients to work across – this means it’ll never be boring! But, if you want an end-user where you see your tools/work in play
every day, this isn’t for you.
This department is growing and there’s a lot of work to do, so if you like the idea of being part of a large, stable company with some processes in place but little red tape this would be
perfect for you.
About you and the skills you’ll need:
A Data Scientist (most recent commercial role) with at least 3-5years’ experience
You’ll want to guide/mentor junior members of the team, sharing your knowledge.
Experience in managing the full machine learning lifecycle
You’ll problem-solve with product + client teams, advise on how to leverage data science internally & externally for their clients
Hands-on programming experience with Python or alternative programming languages.
Data visualisation tool exposure, such as Tableau or PowerBI
Experience in creating/applying different Machine Learning techniques to large sets of information
